Kashmir to get snowfall, rains from Feb 11

Weatherman Thursday forecasted another spell of light snowfall and rains at isolated places of Kashmir from February 11 to 12.
Director Metrological Department, Kashmir, Sonam Lotus told JKUT Newsr that they were expecting another spell of light to moderate snowfall and rains from February 11 night to February 12.
“The main activity of snowfall will be on February 11, however, its intensity will be light in plains while heavy to moderate in the upper reaches,” he said.
However, Lotus said there was no forecast of any major weather activity for next week to 10 days in Kashmir.
As per the weather officials, there would be more decrease in night temperatures across J&K.
The cold wave would continue in Kashmir up to February 11, the official said.
Srinagar city recorded a low of minus 5.8 degree Celsius on Wednesday night against day temperatures of 10.7 degree Celsius while Jammu recorded a minimum of 5.8 Celsius and day temperatures 18.5 degree Celsius.
