Saurabh Bhagat reviews progress on the Implementation of Pradhan Mantri Shram-Yogi Maandhan (PM-SYM)

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 20: Commissioner Secretary, Labour & Employment, Saurabh Bhagat today chaired a meeting through Video Conferencing on different schemes.

Labour Commissioner, A.R. War, Director EDI, Ghulam Mohammad Dar, CEO,JKBOCWWB, Peer Muzaffar, Director Finance, Barkat Hussain, Managing Development, Women Development Corporation, Mrs. Naheed Soz, Additional Secretary, Labour and Employment, Mr. Showkat Ahamad Rathter, Deputy Secretary Labour and Employment Mr. Surinder Paul Sharma, Deputy Director Planning, Abdul Hamid, All Deputy Commissioners along with other concerned attend the meeting.

Commissioner Secretary reviewed various schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Shram-Yogi Maandhan (PM-SYM), National Pension Schemes for Traders(NPS), National Child Labour Project Scheme, Rehabilitation of Bonded Labour Scheme, Seed Capital Scheme, Youth Start-up Scheme, National Minority Development & Finance Corporation(NMDFC). Besides also reviewed the progress on setting up of 100 bedded ESI, Hospital at Ompura Budgam, Kashmir and up-gradation ESI Hospital from 75 bedded to 100 bedded at Baribrahmana, Jammu.

It was decided that a Mass Awareness fortnight w.e.f. 1st March, 2020

Shall be organized in every district during which all the schemes executed by Labour & Employment Department shall be highlighted and shall be given wide publicity through all modes of communications.

Commissioner Secretary stressed upon all the Deputy Commissioners to reconstitute the different Committees under Bonded Labour Abolition Act and Child Labour Act and take all necessary steps relating to aforementioned Acts.

Deputy Commissioners were directed to identify the land for the construction of ESI Hospitals/ Dispensary and Provident Office in every district and also directed for identification of land for the construction of Labour Sarai at Anantnag and Ramban.

All the attending officers assured the chair for early compliance and the Commissioner Secretary appreciated the officers presents.
