21st Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated with traditional fervour at the Udhampur Military Station on 26th Jul 2020. The day began with a solemn wreath laying ceremony at the Dhruva War Memorial by Lieutenant General YK Joshi, Army Commander Northern Command. The wreaths were laid in honour of those soldiers who, true to the traditions of Indian Army, made the supreme sacrifice for the Nation. Officers and men reminisced the gallant action and heroism of the fallen comrades.

The day is a special occasion for the Indian Army being the anniversary of the rarest battle which was fought and won by any country in the most adverse and challenging conditions. Observing Kargil Vijay Diwas was a humble tribute to the fallen soldiers and an acknowledgement of their valour, sacrifice and fortitude.
