DC Ramban reviews Eid-ul-Adha arrangements

RAMBAN, JULY 27: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ramban, today convened a meeting of concerned officers, representatives of religious organizations to discuss the arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha.
The religious representatives suggested several measures for observing the festival in a limited way besides preventing spread of COVID-19 as well as maintaining social distancing during the celebration.
SSP, Haseeb-ur-Rahmen; ADC, Ashok Sharma; several other concerned officers attended the meeting.
The DC instructed the concerned officers to keep a strict vigil on profiteering and black-marketing of essential commodities during the festive days besides ensuring quality of eatables.
He also directed the AD FCS&CA to ensure distribution of ration among the people besides making sure availability of LPG, vegetables and other essential commodities in all areas of the district.
PDD and Jal Shakti Department were directed to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply especially during the Eid days.
The DC directed the Municipal authorities to carry out proper fumigation, sanitation and cleanliness at all the places amid COVID-19 pandemic.
The DC directed the SDMs and concerned Teshildars to ensure that the COVID-19 related SOPs including wearing masks and maintenance of social distancing are followed at all public places.
The DC urged the traders including mutton and chicken seller union to cooperate with administration and follow all necessary SOPs and guidelines in letter and spirit to prevent spread of COVID-19 during relaxation in lockdown.
