Social security schemes: DDC Udhampur reviews Aadhaar seeding of beneficiaries
UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 28:- Adhar seeding of beneficiaries of social Assistance schemes was today reviewed by District Development Commissioner, Dr Piyush Singla here at a meeting of officers of concerned departments.
The meeting discussed in detail about the Aadhaar generations and seeding of accounts of beneficiaries covered under various welfare schemes like National Social Assistance programme (NSAP), Marriage Assistant Scheme, ISSS, MGNREGA (Job card holders),NFSA,ICDS beneficiaries etc were discussed in detail.
The DDC emphasized on universal coverage under Aadhar generation and adhaar seeding in the district. He said linkage of the bank accounts of all the beneficiaries of various schemes with their Adhar number is imperative for the effective and transparent implementation of the schemes.
DDC asked the concerned agencies to put in place requisite machinery and manpower so that target of 100% enrollment can be achieved within the stipulated time.
Strict instructions were issued to the Banks/other agencies to generate adhaars of left out population on priority and expedite the process. LDM was asked to share the daily consolidated report with ADDC Office. Cluster Head J&K was asked to setup 08 more Aadhaar registration centres in far flung areas within 15 days.
The DDC stressed that Adhaar based transactions is the main priority of Government for effective and hassle free disbursement of benefits under different beneficiary oriented schemes. “So Adhaar generation and Adhaar seeding with bank account needs to be done on priority and without any delay”, he added.
DPO ICDS was asked to submit the daily report of Aadhaar registration under 5 year age by the Anganwadi workers in their respective areas.
