JAMMU, NOVEMBER 25: A series of public outreach events were held today in the districts of Jammu division under the weekly Block Diwas program. The district administration teams listened to the people’s issues and provided various services to the people.
The Block Diwas events were held at the designated locations in Doda, Bhaderwah, Gandoh, Thathri and Assar which witnessed active participation of locals from across the seventeen blocks of the district.
The departmental teams along with the frontline field functionaries delivered varied services to the people and listened to their grievances.
As many as 43 grievances/applications were received during the program, of which 41 were addressed on the spot. Several services which included 05 category certificates, 136 Domicile certificates and 16 revenue documents were also provided to the people on the spot.
District Development Commissioner Kathua, Om Prakash Bhagat presided over Mega Block Diwas proceedings at his Office Complex.
A large number of public hailing from Kathua and adjoining blocks turned up seeking redress of their demands and grievances. The DDC passed on spot directions to the concerned to take necessary steps to mitigate the projected problems and grievances of the people within given time.
The Block diwas proceedings were also held at designated locations in Basohli, Bani, Hiranagar and Billawar blocks, where people from adjoining blocks also participated.
